Descrizione

CFS Isentropic espone campi su superfici isentropiche, cioè superfici di temperatura potenziale costante. È più specializzato dei normali livelli di pressione e serve a seguire trasporto e dinamica a grande scala.

Il dataset cfsipvf include variabili come vorticità potenziale, stream function (funzione di corrente) e lapse rate (gradiente termico verticale) quando disponibili nella fonte. Questi campi sono utili per analizzare masse d'aria, fronti, stabilità e flusso in quota.

In GribStream lo usi con gli stessi schemi API degli altri dataset: coordinate, griglie, intervalli temporali, /timeseries e /runs. La differenza è nel tipo di struttura atmosferica che scegli di interrogare.

Per campi atmosferici più generali su livelli standard, usa CFS Pressure. Per radiazione e superficie terrestre usa CFS Radiative Fluxes.
