Offizielle Quelle: Der Deutsche Wetterdienst betreibt ICON-EU als höher aufgelöste Europadomäne des ICON-Systems und veröffentlicht die Felder ohne Registrierung über DWD Open Data.

Aktueller Umfang in GribStream: iconeu umfasst das DWD-Produkt mit Feldern auf einzelnen Niveaus und einem regulären Breiten-Längen-Gitter. GribStream hält fortlaufend die jüngsten fünf Tage vor. Die 69 Quellfelder decken bodennahes Wetter, Wolken, Niederschlag, Strahlung, Konvektion, Schnee, den Zustand der Landoberfläche und synthetische Satelliten-Helligkeitstemperaturen ab.

Lizenz: DWD erlaubt die Weiterverwendung frei zugänglicher Geodaten unter CC BY 4.0 mit Quellenangabe. GribStream nennt DWD in den Metadaten und auf dieser Seite als Urheber.

Beschreibung

ICON-EU ist die deterministische Regionalvorhersage des DWD für Europa. Sie ist mit wechselseitiger Interaktion in das globale ICON-System eingebettet, löst das Wetter über Europa feiner auf und tauscht zugleich Informationen mit dem großräumigen Modell aus.

Die Domäne umfasst die Atlantikzugänge, ganz Europa, den Mittelmeerraum, Nordafrika und Westasien. Das passt zu grenzüberschreitenden Strommärkten, Erneuerbaren-Portfolios, Transportnetzen, Flussgebieten, Flugrouten und maritimen Anwendungen.

Mit etwa 7 km liegt ICON-EU zwischen globaler deterministischer Vorhersage und kleineren hochauflösenden Nationalmodellen. Es bietet mehr regionale Details als ein globales Gitter und behält zugleich die kontinentale Abdeckung, die länderübergreifende Produkte benötigen.

Das iconeu-Inventar mit Feldern auf einzelnen Niveaus ist ungewöhnlich umfangreich. Neben den gängigen Wetterparametern enthält es direkte und diffuse Solarstrahlung, kurz- und langwellige Nettostrahlung, Konvektionsdiagnostik, Schneezustand, Abfluss, Wolkenunter- und -obergrenzen sowie synthetische Meteosat-Helligkeitstemperaturen. Letztere werden vom Modell berechnet und sind keine Satellitenbeobachtungen.

Vier vollständige Läufe liefern fünf Tage Regionalvorhersage; vier Zwischenläufe aktualisieren die Kurzfrist und reichen bis zu 51 h. Da die Verfügbarkeit vom Feld und Modelllauf abhängt, zeigt GribStream die vom DWD tatsächlich veröffentlichten Lead Times, statt einen einheitlichen Zeitplan vorzugeben.

Im Inventar stehen die exakten Kombinationen aus name, level und info. Nutzen Sie /api/v2/iconeu/timeseries für Koordinaten-Zeitreihen oder /api/v2/iconeu/runs für laufbasierte und gerasterte Extraktionen.
