Ambito attuale in GribStream: iconeu copre il prodotto DWD su livello singolo nella griglia regolare latitudine-longitudine e conserva sempre i cinque giorni più recenti. I 69 campi della fonte comprendono parametri vicini alla superficie, nubi, precipitazioni, radiazione, convezione, neve, condizioni della superficie terrestre e temperature di brillanza satellitari sintetiche.

Descrizione

ICON-EU è la previsione regionale deterministica di DWD per l'Europa. È annidata nel sistema ICON globale con interazione bidirezionale: descrive il tempo europeo con maggiore dettaglio e scambia informazioni con il modello su larga scala.

Il dominio comprende gli accessi atlantici, tutta l'Europa, il Mediterraneo, il Nord Africa e l'Asia occidentale. È una copertura adatta a mercati elettrici interconnessi, portafogli rinnovabili, reti di trasporto, bacini idrografici, rotte aeree e operazioni marittime transfrontaliere.

Con circa 7 km, ICON-EU occupa un livello pratico tra la previsione deterministica globale e i domini nazionali più piccoli. Offre più dettaglio regionale di una griglia globale, mantenendo la copertura continentale necessaria ai prodotti che operano in più Paesi.

L'inventario su livello singolo di iconeu è particolarmente ampio. Oltre ai parametri meteorologici più comuni, comprende radiazione solare diretta e diffusa, flussi radiativi netti, diagnostica convettiva, condizioni della neve, deflusso, quote della base e della sommità delle nubi e temperature di brillanza Meteosat sintetiche. Queste ultime sono diagnostiche calcolate dal modello, non osservazioni satellitari.

I quattro run completi forniscono cinque giorni di previsione regionale, mentre i quattro intermedi aggiornano il breve termine e possono arrivare a 51 h. Poiché la disponibilità varia in base al campo e al ciclo, GribStream mostra i lead time realmente pubblicati da DWD senza imporre un calendario uniforme.
