CFS Pressure est le produit atmosphérique sur niveaux de pression du Climate Forecast System de la NOAA/NCEP. Il fournit des champs globaux sur surfaces de pression standard pour les applications qui ont besoin de structure verticale à très long horizon.
Le dataset cfspgbf contient des variables comme température, humidité, vent, hauteur géopotentielle et diagnostics liés sur des niveaux comme 1000 hPa, 850 hPa et 500 hPa lorsque ces niveaux sont publiés par la source.
Sa valeur vient de la combinaison entre portée globale et horizon long : profils, transport d'humidité, vent en altitude, position du jet-stream, évolution synoptique et signaux saisonniers peuvent être interrogés dans la même famille CFS.
Dans GribStream, cfspgbf est pratique quand un produit a besoin de contexte atmosphérique global sans déplacer des fichiers GRIB complets. Il suit les mêmes schémas point, requête sur grille, /timeseries et /runs que le reste du catalogue.
