O tempo australiano em contexto histórico

O downscaling em escala convectiva oferece uma visão do tempo passado em toda a Austrália a aproximadamente 4.4 km. BARRA-C2 pertence à família BARRA2 do Bureau of Meteorology, que usa condições de contorno do ERA5 para acrescentar detalhe regional. A reanálise combina observações e modelagem física; os valores de uma célula são estimativas, não medições de uma estação.

A oferta inicial do GribStream inclui 28 campos horários, de janeiro de 1992 a janeiro de 2026: temperatura próxima à superfície e da superfície, umidade, vento em superfície e nas alturas de turbinas, rajadas, pressão, precipitação, radiação solar e de onda longa, nuvens, evaporação, CAPE e CIN. Valores ausentes na fonte permanecem ausentes.

São condições históricas horárias com prazo de previsão zero. BARRA2 não é uma previsão em tempo real; novos dados históricos podem ser publicados com atraso significativo. Campos instantâneos usam horas inteiras; médias e extremos de uma hora usam o ponto médio do intervalo, aos 30 minutos. O inventário os distingue com 1h_mean, 1h_minimum e 1h_maximum. Precipitação é uma taxa e a radiação solar direta se refere a uma superfície horizontal, não à irradiância direta normal. Outros campos, frequências e BARRA-RE2 ficam fora desta oferta inicial.
