Browse and compare NOAA model data with the demo dashboard

On March 5, 2025, we launched an embedded dashboard that lets you query the API directly and explore historical and forecast data without writing code.

What the demo is good for

• Discovering parameters and levels for each model.
• Comparing models side by side to see differences in fields or timing.
• Exploring derived metrics such as running totals or histograms.
• Validating queries before wiring them into scripts or dashboards.

Practical workflows

• Prototype a query in the demo, then copy the same logic into code.
• Compare a global model like GFS with a high-resolution model like HRRR.
• Use the dashboard as a quick sanity check for a backtest window.
