Beschreibung

IFS Waef ist das globale Wellenensemble von ECMWF. Es kombiniert das WAM-Wellenmodell mit dem atmosphärischen IFS und erzeugt 50 perturbierte Mitglieder plus einen Kontrolllauf für mögliche Seegangszustände.

Jedes Mitglied beschreibt eine plausible Entwicklung des Seegangs unter Unsicherheit in Anfangsbedingungen und Modellphysik. Aus dieser Streuung lassen sich Wahrscheinlichkeiten, Perzentile und Extremszenarien für maritime Entscheidungen ableiten.

Die Open-Data-Auswahl liefert globale Wellenfelder auf einem 0.25-Grad-Grid. In der aktuellen GribStream-Abdeckung reichen 00- und 12-UTC-Läufe bis 360 h, während 06- und 18-UTC-Läufe bis 144 h reichen.

Die Parameter umfassen signifikante Wellenhöhe, mittlere und Peak-Periode, mittlere und Peak-Richtung, Dünungspartitionen, Stokes-Drift, 2D-Spektren und abgeleitete probabilistische Produkte.

In GribStream ergänzt ifswaef IFS Wave, wenn Ihr Produkt Risiko quantifizieren muss: Offshore-Betrieb, Schiffsrouting, Hafenplanung, Küstenrisiko, Offshore-Wind oder Forschung zu Extremseegang.
