Descrição

IFS Waef é o ensemble global de ondas do ECMWF. Ele combina o modelo WAM com o IFS atmosférico para produzir 50 membros perturbados e um membro de controle sobre possíveis estados do mar.

Cada membro representa uma evolução plausível das ondas sob incerteza de condições iniciais e do próprio modelo. Essa dispersão permite estimar probabilidades, percentis e cenários extremos para decisões marinhas.

O subconjunto open data entrega campos globais de ondas em grade de 0.25 grau. Na cobertura atual do GribStream, ciclos 00 e 12 UTC chegam até 360 h, e ciclos 06 e 18 UTC chegam até 144 h.

No GribStream, ifswaef complementa IFS Wave quando o produto precisa de risco probabilístico, não apenas de um único cenário de ondas.
