Descrição

IFS Wave é o modelo global de ondas do ECMWF. Ele usa ecWAM acoplado ao IFS atmosférico para simular geração, propagação e dissipação de ondas impulsionadas pelo vento.

O modelo usa termos físicos para entrada de vento, whitecapping, interações não lineares onda-onda e efeitos de fundo. Esse acoplamento permite representar a retroalimentação entre vento e estado do mar.

Os campos típicos incluem altura significativa de onda, período médio, período de pico, direção média, partições de mar de vento e swell, e variáveis de superfície úteis para operações marinhas, fluxos ar-mar e diagnóstico de mares extremos.

No GribStream, ifswave é a opção determinística do ECMWF para produtos marinhos globais. Quando você precisa de incerteza de ondas, use IFS Wave Ensemble.
