Descripción
IFS Enfo , también conocido como IFS ENS, es el ensemble global de ECMWF para pronóstico probabilístico de mediano plazo. En vez de entregar un único escenario, produce 50 miembros perturbados y un miembro de control para representar incertidumbre atmosférica.
El subconjunto open data expone cada miembro sobre una grilla global de 0.25 grados. En la cobertura actual de GribStream, los ciclos 00 y 12 UTC llegan hasta 360 h, y los ciclos 06 y 18 UTC llegan hasta 144 h.
ifsenfo sirve para calcular probabilidades de excedencia, rangos percentiles, escenarios plausibles y dispersión del ensemble. Eso ayuda a convertir un pronóstico de mediano plazo en una distribución de riesgo, no solo en una trayectoria única.
Para clientes de GribStream, IFS Enfo complementa a IFS Oper cuando el producto necesita cuantificar incertidumbre: energía, hidrología, agricultura, aviación, logística y riesgo de tiempo severo.
