Archive opérationnelle : la collection suit GOES-18 pendant son service en position GOES-West sur la grille nominale centrée près de 137W. Il s'agit du satellite actuellement opérationnel à cette position.

Une grille fixe : seules les familles d'environ 2 km sur la grille NOAA de 5 424 par 5 424 sont incluses. goes18abi10km contient l'autre résolution.

Disponibilité et données ouvertes : manœuvres, étalonnage, pannes, limites saisonnières et transitions peuvent créer des lacunes. Les données NOAA du programme Open Data sont publiques ; l'attribution est demandée sans suggérer son aval.

Disponibilité de l'archive : les observations récentes sont disponibles en premier, tandis que les dates antérieures jusqu'au début de la période opérationnelle sont ajoutées progressivement.

Description

ABI, l'Advanced Baseline Imager, observe le disque géostationnaire dans 16 bandes spectrales visibles et infrarouges.

Les produits Level 2 transforment ces radiances en observations des nuages, aérosols, feux, précipitations, neige, rayonnement et surfaces. Toutes les restitutions ne sont pas valides à chaque pixel ou instant.

Lumière du jour, ciel clair, filtrage nuageux, hypothèses atmosphériques et géométrie de visée influencent chaque champ ; l'empreinte augmente vers le limbe.

L'inventaire répertorie les 46 sélecteurs source exacts et leurs périodes de disponibilité.
