Cobertura do arquivo: 46 campos nativos de 19 famílias ABI Level 2 estão disponíveis de 2023-01-04 em diante. Cada família começa quando a NOAA publicou uma versão operacional compatível. São observações, não previsões; horizon é 0.

Registro operacional: a coleção acompanha o GOES-18 durante seu serviço na posição GOES-West sobre a grade nominal centrada perto de 137W. É o satélite operacional atual dessa posição.

Uma grade fixa: inclui somente as famílias de cerca de 2 km na grade NOAA de 5.424 por 5.424. goes18abi10km contém a outra resolução.

Disponibilidade e dados abertos: manobras, calibração, falhas, limites sazonais e transições podem criar lacunas. Os dados NOAA do programa Open Data são públicos; solicita-se atribuição sem sugerir endosso da NOAA.

Disponibilidade do arquivo: as observações recentes ficam disponíveis primeiro, enquanto as datas anteriores até o início do registro operacional são adicionadas progressivamente.

Descrição

ABI, o Advanced Baseline Imager, observa o disco geoestacionário em 16 bandas espectrais visíveis e infravermelhas.

Os produtos Level 2 transformam essas radiâncias em observações de nuvens, aerossóis, incêndios, precipitação, neve, radiação e superfícies. Nem toda recuperação é válida em cada pixel ou horário.

Luz do dia, céu limpo, filtragem de nuvens, hipóteses atmosféricas e geometria de visão afetam cada campo; a área cresce em direção ao limbo.

O inventário lista os 46 seletores fonte exatos e seus períodos de disponibilidade.
