Código GribStream: gfs
GFS (Global Forecast System) es el modelo global principal de predicción numérica de NOAA/NCEP. Integra componentes de atmósfera, océano, tierra/suelo y hielo marino para simular la evolución del tiempo en tres dimensiones.
En GribStream, el dataset gfs expone la grilla global de 0.25 grados con pronósticos horarios hasta 120 h y luego cada 3 horas hasta el día 16. El modelo usa un sistema de análisis variacional (GDAS/GFS Analysis) que asimila observaciones satelitales, radar, radiosondeos, superficie y otras fuentes para construir la condición inicial.
GFS suele ser el punto de referencia para productos globales y de mediano plazo. También sirve como base para sistemas derivados como GEFS y CFS, y como condición de contorno para modelos regionales.
Para clientes de GribStream, GFS es útil cuando necesitas una fuente global, estable y de largo horizonte para pronósticos operativos, análisis histórico, backtesting o entrenamiento de modelos.
