Statut : GribStream expose fourcastnetgfs comme archive expérimentale historique. La source publique et l'archive actuelle de GribStream n'incluent pas de runs plus récents après 2026-03-01 12:00 UTC. Pour une prévision globale actuelle basée sur l'IA, utilisez AIGFS, AIGFS Pressure ou AIGEFS.
FourCastNetGFS est un dataset expérimental NOAA de prévision basée sur l'IA.
Il s'appuie sur le framework FourCastNet développé par NVIDIA et Microsoft, avec Fourier Neural Operators et deep learning pour émuler une partie de la dynamique globale de GFS et produire des sorties rapidement.
Le modèle de machine learning sous-jacent a été entraîné avec des données historiques de réanalyse atmosphérique. L'implémentation publiée par NOAA initialisait les prévisions depuis des champs d'analyse GDAS et produisait des produits GRIB2 de type GFS. Aujourd'hui, fourcastnetgfs doit être considéré comme une archive historique, pas comme une ligne opérationnelle actuelle.
Dans GribStream, fourcastnetgfs reste utile pour comparer comment une base de prévision fondée sur Fourier Neural Operators s'est comportée face à GFS, GraphCastGFS, AIGFS et des modèles physiques globaux lors d'événements passés.
