Status: GribStream bietet fourcastnetgfs als historisches experimentelles Archiv an. Der öffentliche S3-Bucket und das aktuelle GribStream-Archiv enthalten keine neueren FourCastNetGFS-Läufe nach 2026-03-01 12:00 UTC. Für aktuelle globale KI-Vorhersagen von NOAA nutzen Sie AIGFS, AIGFS Pressure oder AIGEFS.
FourCastNetGFS ist ein experimentelles NOAA-Dataset für KI-basierte Vorhersagen.
Es basiert auf dem von NVIDIA und Microsoft entwickelten FourCastNet-Framework und nutzt Fourier Neural Operators sowie Deep Learning, um Teile der globalen Dynamik von GFS nachzubilden und schneller auszugeben.
Das zugrunde liegende Machine-Learning-Modell wurde mit historischen atmosphärischen Reanalyse-Daten trainiert. NOAAs veröffentlichte Umsetzung initialisierte Vorhersagen aus GDAS-Analysefeldern und gab GFS-ähnliche GRIB2-Produkte aus. Heute sollte fourcastnetgfs als historisches Archiv betrachtet werden, nicht als aktuelle operative Linie.
In GribStream bleibt fourcastnetgfs nützlich, um zu vergleichen, wie eine auf Fourier Neural Operators basierende Vorhersagebasis gegenüber GFS, GraphCastGFS, AIGFS und physikalischen globalen Modellen bei vergangenen Ereignissen abgeschnitten hat.
