Fuente oficial: Deutscher Wetterdienst opera ICON-D2 para el muy corto plazo sobre Alemania y los países vecinos. DWD publica los campos de la grilla regular en DWD Open Data sin exigir registro.

Alcance actual en GribStream: icond2 ofrece 63 campos originales de nivel único de los ocho ciclos determinísticos diarios, con lead times horarios de 0 a 48 h y un archivo móvil de cinco días. El campo de interpretación meteorológica WW comienza en +1 h; los demás campos actuales comienzan en +0 h.

Licencia: DWD permite reutilizar comercialmente sus geodatos abiertos bajo CC BY 4.0 con atribución. GribStream identifica a DWD como creador y enlaza las condiciones oficiales.

Descripción

ICON-D2 es el modelo de área limitada de DWD para el muy corto plazo sobre Alemania y Europa central. Forma parte de la familia ICON y concentra el cálculo del núcleo dinámico no hidrostático en un dominio regional mucho más fino.

Con unos 2,2 km, ICON-D2 pertenece a la clase de convección explícita. DWD destaca la convección profunda, las líneas de turbonada, el flujo sobre terreno complejo, la niebla a ras de suelo, el Foehn, los vientos descendentes y las lluvias capaces de provocar inundaciones repentinas. Esto no garantiza la ubicación exacta de cada tormenta: permite representar la convección de forma más directa que una parametrización de grilla gruesa.

Las condiciones iniciales proceden de KENDA, el sistema de asimilación de datos de DWD a escala kilométrica. Su Local Ensemble Transform Kalman Filter combina observaciones recientes con un ensemble de corto plazo para obtener un análisis atmosférico que varía con la situación meteorológica.

El producto regular cubre 43.18N-58.08N y 3.94W-20.34E: Alemania, Países Bajos, Bélgica, Luxemburgo, Suiza, Austria, Dinamarca y partes de Francia, Italia, Chequia, Polonia y otros países cercanos. La matriz rectangular tiene 906.390 celdas, pero la huella válida se estrecha en los extremos; las celdas exteriores deben tratarse como faltantes.

El inventario icond2 combina meteorología de superficie con contexto operativo rico. La energía solar dispone de radiación directa y difusa; hidrología y vialidad invernal pueden combinar precipitación, lluvia, nieve, escorrentía, espesor y equivalente de agua de nieve y cota de nieve. SYNMSG_BT_CL_IR10.8 y SYNMSG_BT_CL_WV6.2 son diagnósticos sintéticos del modelo, no observaciones satelitales.

ICON-D2 es un escenario determinístico de 48 h. La grilla fina puede perfilar efectos orográficos, líneas de convergencia y bandas estrechas, pero pequeños errores de tiempo o posición siguen siendo importantes. Conviene combinarlo con observaciones, ensembles y modelos de mayor escala cuando se necesita incertidumbre explícita o mayor alcance.
